Terms of Service
Last updated 20 October 2026
1. Who we are and acceptance of these terms
Receipt (the "Service") is owned and operated by Social Commerce Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, Company Number 15286207, VAT Number GB456147581, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ ("Receipt", "we", "us", "our"). Social Commerce Ltd also operates Folo and Fanogram, and other related products, on shared account, chat, vault and payment systems; see Section 4 (Single sign-on across Folo, Fanogram and Receipt).
Receipt is operated by Social Commerce Ltd (registered in England and Wales, above) and Social Commerce EU Ltd (registered in Cyprus, 4th Floor, Agios Nikolaos, Kamares, 6037 Larnaca, Cyprus).
By creating an account or using Receipt as a creator, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Receipt. Anyone may visit a creator's public page without an account; Sections 3, 6 and 7 explain what applies to visitors and buyers.
Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Refund & Billing Terms and Copyright & DMCA Policy form part of these terms.
2. Your account
You must be of legal age (18+) in your jurisdiction to open a Receipt creator account; there is no minor tier. Give accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Staff access. To run the service, keep it secure and comply with the law, authorised Receipt staff may view a creator's account and act within it where necessary: for support, security, fraud and abuse prevention, enforcing these terms, and legal compliance. Staff access is recorded in an audit log, and some actions, such as deleting an account, are refused while staff are acting within it.
3. What Receipt does, and what it does not do
Receipt gives you a public page of links. When a visitor taps one of your tracked links, Receipt logs the click and adds that click's id to the address it sends the visitor to (as rcpt=, and as client_reference_id on a Stripe Payment Link). When a sale reaches us carrying that click id, and the click is on one of your own links and inside your plan's attribution window, we credit the sale to that click. That match is what we call a receipt.
- Attribution is a fixed rule, not a guarantee. A sale with no click id, or one that fails either check, is shown as unattributed. Receipt never guesses and uses no AI to decide a match.
- On Shopify the click id is read from the first page of the buyer's shop visit, so if a visitor follows two of your links into the same shop in one visit, the sale is credited to the first.
- The figures come from your sales channels. When a channel reports a refund or chargeback, we reverse the matching sale. Sales you add by hand are always labelled manual and never counted as tracked.
- Receipt is not a payment service. We never take payment from your customers, never hold your money, and take no share of your sales.
- Receipt is not tax, accounting or financial advice. Figures shown in another currency are converted for display only and say so; your sales channel's own records are the authority.
4. Single sign-on across Folo, Fanogram and Receipt
Folo, Fanogram and Receipt are separate, standalone products built on shared account, identity, chat, vault and payment systems operated by Social Commerce Ltd. Signing in with the same credentials on any of the three products signs you into the same underlying account where that product supports it; you do not need to register separately with each one.
Where a feature on one product reads data created on another (for example, media from your Fanogram vault that you choose to place on your Receipt page), that sharing is described in our Privacy Policy, not here.
Your cookie choice is stored in your browser and, when you are signed in, against your account too, so the same choice applies on Folo, Fanogram and Receipt's own pages. A creator's public page and custom domain read only the copy in your browser.
Deleting your Receipt account from Settings deletes your Receipt data, as our Privacy Policy describes. It does not delete the shared sign-in, because Folo and Fanogram use the same sign-in and deleting it would close your account there too. To delete the shared account, or to exercise a data-protection right described in our Privacy Policy, contact dataprotection@knky.co. That request applies to the shared account and the data held on the shared systems; where a product keeps additional product-specific records, we will tell you if any of those records are unaffected by the request and why.
5. Your page and your content
You keep ownership of everything you publish on Receipt. You give us a non-exclusive licence to host, copy, display and transmit it as needed to run Receipt, including showing your public page to visitors on our domains and on a custom domain you connect.
You must have the rights to everything you publish and link to, and it must be lawful and follow our Acceptable Use Policy.
- 18+ links. You can put an 18+ lock on a link. Visitors must then confirm they are 18 or over before it opens. This is a self-declaration by the visitor, not age verification, and it does not make an unlawful link lawful.
- Custom CSS. On plans that include it (see our pricing page), you can style your page with your own CSS. We filter it before it is shown, and it must follow the page rules in our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Scheduling. A link you schedule does not work outside its window, even if someone saved it.
6. Connected services and sale data
You choose which sources send your sales to Receipt, and you are responsible for following each service's own terms.
- Stripe: we store your Stripe account id only. We never receive your Stripe password or secret keys.
- Shopify: we store your shop domain and receive the order notifications your shop sends us.
- Affiliate reports: a report you upload is shown as Reported, kept apart from tracked sales, and never counted as tracked.
- Fanogram and Folo: sales you make on Fanogram or Folo are sent to Receipt by those products.
We check that Stripe and Shopify notifications really come from Stripe or Shopify before we use them. You can withdraw Receipt's access at any time in your Stripe or Shopify settings. Deleting your Receipt account deletes the stored Stripe account id and shop domain.
7. Your visitors, buyers and email subscribers
When you use Receipt we handle data about your visitors, your buyers and, if you collect them, your email subscribers. You agree to:
- tell your visitors and customers, in your own privacy notice, that you use Receipt to measure which links lead to sales;
- have a lawful basis for the sale data your channels send us;
- collect email sign-ups only through the consent box Receipt shows, and honour unsubscribes;
- not use Receipt to identify or profile individual visitors.
You are the controller of your subscriber list and of the buyer data your sales channels send us: you decide who you email and why, and which channels you connect. Receipt stores your subscriber list for you and lets you export it.
For that buyer and subscriber data, Receipt acts as your processor. These terms and our Privacy Policy are your instructions to us, and we process that data only to provide Receipt to you. We keep it confidential, protect it with appropriate security measures, use only the providers listed in our Privacy Policy under data-processing terms that protect it to the same standard, help you answer requests from the people it concerns, tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a personal data breach affecting it, and delete it when you delete your Receipt account, except where the law requires us to keep it.
Click and page-view records about your visitors are different: we decide what is recorded and how long it is kept, so we are the controller of those records, as our Privacy Policy explains.
8. Plans, fees and billing
What each Receipt plan includes and costs is shown on our pricing page; this page never repeats a price. Paid plans are billed by Stripe, and our Refund & Billing Terms apply.
Plan limits never stop your data. If you go over a limit on your plan, we tell you in the dashboard and keep recording your clicks and sales.
9. Intellectual property and reporting
Receipt's own name, design and software belong to us. To report a page or link that breaks these terms, use the Report link at the foot of every creator page, or our contact form. Copyright notices follow our Copyright & DMCA Policy.
10. Suspension, termination and deleting your account
We may remove a block, disable a link, or suspend or close an account for serious or repeated breach of these terms, for fraud or abuse, or where the law requires. We will give reasonable notice where we can.
You can delete your Receipt account at any time from Settings; cancel a live paid subscription first. Our Privacy Policy lists the few records we keep after a deletion, and why.
11. Limitation of liability
Receipt is provided on an as-is, as-available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or a breach of your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of England and Wales or the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms of Service, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except that if you are a consumer resident in a country whose law gives you additional protections, nothing here takes away the protections that law gives you, including the right to bring proceedings in your own country.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the dashboard or by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and the "last updated" date above will change. If you keep using Receipt after that, you accept the revised terms.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms: use our contact form, or write to Social Commerce Ltd, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. Data-protection questions: dataprotection@knky.co.
